Pulling Teeth

Greetings and salutations! It’s 7:15pm and both my men are sleeping so Bitzer the cat and I have the house all to ourselves. Too bad I’m all out of America’s Next Top Model episodes!

Yesterday I got my baby tooth pulled. I’ve never had any teeth pulled before, so it was a bit nerve racking. I asked my dentist if it would hurt and he says “I won’t feel a thing.” I, meaning him. Aha. Aha. Dentist humor. But he did pump my gums full of Novocaine until I couldn’t feel anything except the pressure on my surrounding teeth. But now instead of having two incisors I have one uber bad ass incisor and a giant gap. I guess it will be braces city. No BJs for me, LOL!!! No wonder Matt doesn’t want me to get braces!!! *Sigh* That was funny.

Easter was fun.

I wasn’t going to get Jaxon a basket because he’s 5 months and really wouldn’t get it, but I found a coupon for a basket, so I bought some small toys for Jax and the Beagle and Peeps for Matt.

Time for Family Guy!

Jumpin’ Jax Flash

It was another beautiful day in San Rafael. It was a bit breezy but we managed to make it to the pool for a few minutes before Jaxon threw up (I even waited 45 minutes after feeding him!) There were a couple of nice girls who reminded me of my sister and I when we were kids swimming at the Allied Gardens pool — holding our breathes underwater and racing from one end of the pool to the other. Good times.

About a month ago, I talked Matt into spending $80 on this beautiful jumper. This afternoon, Jaxon went totally jumping crazy — I am so glad I was able to get it on camera. He jumped for like 5 minutes straight and then passed right out for the night. God, I love him so much.

Matt is currently working his butt off on this test for Sony. I hope he gets the job! I think San Francisco is where I would like to live the most — but with me not working, we can’t really afford the crazy rent. San Diego will be nice. We’ll have a real house, Jax will have lots of kids to play with, and we can go swimming at Dad’s or at the beach!! And I can take Matt to Mexico — he’s never been. Mmmm, October is lobster time. Whoo! Hahaha! Anyways, it can potentially be a great thing. And we won’t have our outrageous rent so we can afford a second baby and possibly start saving for a house down payment.

Beep Beep! Beep Beep! Yea!

The Latest Attempts

I am of the firm belief that we are put on this earth to be happy. Eating, drinking, sleeping, pooing, making babies… are all things that give us pleasure because if we didn’t eat, drink, sleep, poo, or make babies then we as a species would cease to exist. But there has to be a happy medium. If you eat too much then you’ll get fat, if you drink to much you’ll get water poisoning (or at least a terrible tummy ache), if you sleep too much — well you won’t get anything done and won’t be able to afford the toilet to poo on or the room to make babies in (or the doctor bills!)

Saturday morning the sky was blue and the air was warm (sorry to all of you in other parts of the world where the idea of a skirt and flip flops in Mid March is just crazy talk) so I decided that I was going to take Jaxon swimming. We had a great day at Costco and Target — but why are Little Swimmers $10.99 and why doesn’t Target sell a generic brand??!!?? $45 bucks and a 2 hour nap later we were on our way to the heated pool. Even Matt came along, despite his disdain for anything related to pools and sunshine. It was a bit too chilly for my taste at 4pm, but Jaxon had a good time. The cutest part was when Matt (clad in dark denim jeans and a heavy leather jacket) looks down at Jax and me and asks, “Do I have a swimsuit?” He never had a reason to swim before Jax came along. So sweet!!! It’s moments like this that make life really great. We’re planning on going again today when Jaxon wakes up. Hopefully he’ll learn to love the water as much as his mama does!

And now it’s time to take the dog out to poo.

Happiness all around. – Jessie
